    Eurail Pass Benefits in Greece

    If your Eurail Pass is valid in Greece, you are entitled to discounts on ferry crossings and other benefits offered by our partners.

    To take advantage of these offers just show your Eurail Pass or contact the company, that offers the benefit, directly. Free travel offers are only valid during travel days, whereas other benefits apply during the entire validity of your Eurail Pass.

    Set sail for Italy with Attica

    Superfast Ferries in cooperation with ANEK LINES

     

    With Attica you can travel between Greece and Italy on the following routes:

    • Bari (Italy) - Corfu (Greece)*
    • Bari (Italy) - Igoumenitsa (Greece)
    • Bari (Italy) - Patras (Greece)
    • Ancona (Italy) - Corfu (Greece)*
    • Ancona (Italy) - Igoumenitsa (Greece)
    • Ancona (Italy) - Patras(Greece)
    • Venice (Italy) - Corfu (Greece)*
    • Venice (Italy) - Igoumenitsa (Greece)
    • Venice (Italy) - Patras(Greece)

     

    *All routes between Corfu and all ports in Italy are only available in the summer period.

    Holders of a Eurail Global Pass (1st class) are entitled to free air seats or dormitories (if available). Holders or a Eurail Global Pass (2nd class) are entitled to free deck passage.

     

    Holders of a Eurail One Country Pass Italy or Eurail One Country Pass Greece are entitled to a 30% discount on any class on board (except for LUX cabins) on any of the routes mentioned above.

     

    Holders of a Eurail Greek Islands Pass (5 or 6 days) are entitled to a 30% discount on any class on board for trips that are an addition to the trips included in the Greek Islands Passes.

     

    Please note that Pass holders (except those with a Greek Islands Pass) do have to pay seasonal surcharges, port taxes and fuel surcharges:

    • Seasonal surcharge:
      • June and September: €15 per person
      • July and August: €25 per person
    • Port taxes: €7 per passsenger, per embarkation
    • It's possible a fuel surcharge of up to €10 may apply on your trip
    • Check in time: 2 hours before departure

     

    These surcharges do not apply to Greek Islands Pass holders (with the exception of additional trips with a 30% discount)

    Discounted travel on the domestic routes of Blue Star Ferries

     

    Eurail Global Pass holders receive a 30% discount on domestic routes, and Eurail Greek Islands Pass holders receive a 30% discount if all Greek Island Pass trips are used up, provided that you've already realised a crossing in the Adriatic Sea with Superfast Ferries or ANEK Lines.

    Minoan Lines

     

    Eurail pass holders receive a 20% discount on the Minoan Lines ferry from Athens (Pireaus) to Crete (Heraklion). Additionally, travelers receive 20% discount on all passenger accommodation categories.

    Eurail Pass holders receive a 20% discount on full or special fares for ship passage, and 10% on accommodation supplements for Pullman seats, berth or cabins on Grimaldi Line ferries taking you between Greece and Italy.
