Add extra cities in Europe to your travel plans with German Rail Pass. German trains and buses operate on certain international routes and can take you to many wonderful cities, like Venice or Prague.

Austria

You can use your German Rail Pass to travel by train to Salzburg Hbf at the German border with Austria.

The German Rail Pass is valid on trains in Germany to the Austrian border:

  • Munich to Salzburg

Belgium

Travel by train from Cologne (Köln) to Belgium's capital city Brussels (Brussel, Bruxelles) as well as Liege. Or travel by IC bus from Düsseldorf to LiègeGhent or Antwerp (Antwerpen).

The German Rail Pass is valid on the following direct routes:

  • By train: Cologne (Köln Hbf) - Brussels (Bruxelles-Midi)
  • By train: Cologne (Köln Hbf) - Liège (Liège-Guillemins)
  • By bus: Düsseldorf - Roermond (Netherlands) - Eindhoven (Netherlands) - Antwerp (Belgium) - Ghent (Belgium) - Lille (France)
  • By bus: Düsseldorf - Maastricht (Netherlands) - Liège (Belgium)

 

On our timetable (powered by Deutsche Bahn railway) the ICE trains are shown as "ICE". No reservation is required for this train.

Czech Republic

Travel by bus from Germany to Prague (Praha), the Czech Republic's mesmerizing capital.

Routes from Germany to the Czech Republic

The German Rail Pass is valid on the following direct route with the IC Buses:

  • Leipzig (Germany) - Prague (Czech Republic)
  • Mannheim (Germany) - Heidelberg (Germany) - Frankfurt (Germany) - Nuremberg (Germany) - Prague (Czech Republic)
On our timetable (powered by Deutsche Bahn railway) the Express Bus is listed as "BUS". It is necessary to reserve the Express Bus between Nuremberg/Munich and Prague. Make reservations at main train stations in Germany; reservation fee: €4 (no class distinction). The bus stop is located at the front of each train station.

France

Travel on the comfortable IC bus to Lille in France from Dusseldorf in Germany.

  • Düsseldorf (Germany) - Roermond (Netherlands) - Eindhoven (Netherlands) - Antwerp (Belgium) - Gent (Belgium) - Lille (France)

Italy

Travel by train or bus from Munich (München) to beautiful Italian cities like Venice, MilanBologna and Verona.

The German Rail Pass is valid to and from the following Italian cities with DB-ÖBB EuroCity trains. 

  • Bolzano/Bozen

  • Trento

  • Verona

  • Bologna

  • Venice

On our timetable (powered by Deutsche Bahn railway) the DB-ÖBB EuroCity trains connecting Munich with the above Italian cities is shown as "EC". Reservations are compulsory for these trains.

Netherlands

Travel on the comfortable IC bus to Eindhoven or Roermond in the Netherlands from Dusseldorf in Germany.
